Kayama Yuzo is said to be the first singer-songwriter in Japan, to this day creating music across various genres such as surf rock, and pop. His most famous composition “Kimi to Itsumademo (Love Forever),” sold over two million copies, and was awarded a gold disc in 1965, as the highest selling single in the history of Japan’s recording industry.
