Hex & Rue, Hawaii’s first Apothecary and Botanica, will be hosting a strange and unique event in celebration of October. Hex & Rue is owned by Darcie Pulawa, a second year apprentice of Lā‘au lapa‘au, a hidden knowledge of traditional Hawaiian medicine harvesting and ritual preparation—a passion reflected in the mystical inventory of the store, as well as the spiritual events she is hosting there.

At Hex & Rue’s unorthodox market, “Oddities, Curiosities & Stranger Things,” attendees can expect diaphonization, artistic necromancy, bones, terrariums, Victorian-esque taxidermy, mummification, and other extraordinary and peculiar items. Space is limited, so anyone interested in attending the event should RSVP.
